Haven't done a challenge for a bit. This one wasn't really much of challenge, because my los are so simple to begin with! // Inspiroiduin minimalismiin. Se on kyllä ominta tyyliäni, joten kerrankin pääsin helpolla. Sivu syntyi 5 minuutissa :)

Learn Something New Every Day.

I started Shimelle's class a little late, but I really want to do this! Today I learned that luckily I don't need to be anxious of all people I don't know really well, had a lovely time with a family I am getting to know via DD's figureskating. This is a minialbum, and I will be using all sorts of images from mags because I don't have the energy to take a lot of photos right now :) //Aloitin Shimellen kurssin vähän jälkijunassa, mutta vauhtia kerätessä mennään! Tänään opin että vähän vieraampienkin ihmisten kanssa voi viihtyä tosi hyvin! Tähän minialbumiin ei tule "oikeita" valokuvia, koska en nyt vaan jaksa niitä ajatella!

I'm going through our thousands of photos from the summer holidays and planning what to do with them. I'm tempted to order a photo book so it would be easier to relive the trip, but still would like to scap them too.... oh dear... // Kesäreissun tuhansia kuvia katsellessa heräsi houkutus tilata valokuvakirja, mutta kun tekisi mieli tehdä kunnon albumikin.... voi tokkiinsa, kun olis enemmän aikaa ja energiaa!

Going to Dublin.

I'm off to Dublin for a few days, work-related. // Työmatka vie Dubliniin.

They look like grandma.

These two cousins look a lot like their grandma, but I hope they will also be as hardworking, outspoken and able to laugh at themselves as she is. (Blurred the other pretty face. )

Like fish in water.

Too tired to check out if "like fish in water" is a proper English idiom, but it is the translation of the title, meaning, "in her element". This kid of mine loves to climb, hang, slide, glide...

I scrapped. // Skräppäsin.

Sometimes things just work out. I went shopping for some last minute supplies for next week's trip to Dublin, and DD had asked for some special gel pens that you can wipe off. I went to the local bookstore and got the pens and noted a group of people happily talking around a table. I thought I recognised one of the ladies and then I saw what she was holding.... a scrapbook. Mira was doing a demo and we ended up talking, very nice! Got back home, fed the kid, looked at some photos and decided to scrap. //Juoksin asioita kaupungilla ja poikkesin kirjakauppaan ostamaan likalle jotain uusia geelikyniä. Kassan taakse oli laitettu pöytä ja sieltä kuului iloista puheen sorinaa, olin tunnistavinani yhden naisista (niinkuin tunnistinkin, kaksikin) ja mitä ihmettä, Amalian Mira oli demoamassa! Mahtava homma! Kotona sitten pistin askareluvaihdetta päälle, kyllä se siitä!

We shopped. // Ostokset.

We didn't get into a shopping frenzy during our European tour, maybe because everything had to be carried in backpacks, but we did buy a coffee maker, some cute cups from Alessi factory outlet and a cheese cutter. The brown cup is a Teema-mug to show the size of the cutter, which I carried back all the way from Switzerland! // Koska kaikki mitä ostetttiin piti mahtua rinkkoihin, ei visaa juurikaan höylätty, mutta matkaan tarttui kuinkin sähkökäyttöinen mutterikeitin, kuppeja Alessin tehtaan myymälästä ja pieni juustohöylä, joka poseeraa Teema-mukin kanssa...

Back home. // Kotona taas.

Having been here, here, here, here, and here, we took two night trains and a ferry to get back to the Finnish ground. Spent one more day here and arrived home tired, but very happy. What a brilliant holiday! We took thousands of photos, which means happy scrapping! // Reissu takana, loppurutistus oli huima, kaksi yöjunaa ja päivälautta, ja vielä Särkkis! Rinkka täynnä haisevia vaatteita, muistikortit täynnä kuvia ja päässä hauskoja muistoja! Suosittelen interrailia perheille!

Lazy day.

Took DD for a bit of fresh air at Kirjurinluoto. Gotta love lazy days. Forgot to take my camera, though, so this one is from the local web cam.

Four weeks of summer vacation. Catching an early train with DD to visit family. Let's see if I can update on the road. //Lomalomalomaloma. Aamujunalla sukuloimaan, sitten maailmalle!

Got home today, leaving DD with her grandparents. The house is quiet. Very quiet. // Tulin kotiin, lapsi jäi isovanhempien luo. Täällä on hiljaista. Tosi hiljaista.

She picked me some flowers to take home. / Lapsen poimima läksijäiskimppu.

Another rainy morning. Gotta pack up the last bits and pieces and catch a bus with DD to take her over to her grandparents for a week. See you on Sunday! // Sateisessa aamussa pakkailen viimeisiä tavaroita, tyttöä lähden viemään mummolaan. Sunnuntaina nähdään!
